The cover depicts a metallic robot holding in its hand the lifeless bodies of the band members. This is the work of Frank Kelly Freas, inspired by the cover of a science fiction book published by Tom Godwin in 1953 in the magazine Astounding and calledd 'The Gulf Between'.
